  S400 payphone is a premium product that operates via the Optus "B" satellite service. It is a transport semi-supervised location payphone designed to fit flush with existing panelling. S400 payphone operates via the NEC or Optus S2 MobileSat satellite phone, via GSM service or via CDMA service, or any combination of the above. A .pdf information brochure is downloadable here.

  S400 payphone hardware is fitted to your space requirements and has an external - roof mounted - antenna(s). The payphone service is usually operated by a PayTel management contract, but can be run privately if desired. Phonecall costs vary according to service requirements and operator requirements - subject to negotiation with PayTel.

  Phonecall, fax or data transmission payment options include smart card, magnetic stripe card and Visa / MasterCard. Smart card (less usual, more expensive) and magnetic stripe cards (most common) are designed by PayTel in a variety of denominations with promotional messages on if desired.

  S400 payphone is available for outright purchase in a variety of forms according to the coverage requirements (satellite and/or GSM and/or CDMA), or alternatively by rent/lease/paid placement/no-cost installation by negotiation with PayTel. Factors taken into account with negotiation include call costs, traffic volume, payphone management status, location and installation duration.
